Bill is an LNG
specialist with over three decades of energy industry experience.
Until 1990 he worked in the UK power generation business.
Subsequently he worked for Shell for 17 years in the LPG, aviation,
and gas and power businesses.
From 1997 he was a business developer in the gas business and
subsequently Shell’s European LNG supply manager. He has experience
in structuring and completing large complex commercial deals
involving foreign governments and joint venture partners. He
established a portfolio of supply contracts for Europe and was
involved in completing the supply chain to downstream wholesalers.
He also negotiated a power tolling agreement for a 750MW gas-fired
power plant in Spain.
Since 2007 he has worked as a consultant to the LNG business
covering issues such as:
● The availability and potential
sources of short term, divertible volumes
● Gas pricing in the various global
markets
● The relative attractiveness to
suppliers of potential new gas markets in Europe
● Advising first-time buyers of LNG
● Reviewing contracts in the LNG
chain
● Developing and delivering
focussed commercial training for the energy industry
Bill has a degree in Physics from Oxford University and a MBA from
Henley Management College.
